In summary, our results demonstrate that C. militaris triggers TNF-α/TNFR1-mediated apoptosis by suppressing the NF-κB signaling pathway and promotes the cleavage of caspase-3 and caspase-9 through the induction of the extrinsic apoptotic pathway in ovarian cancer cells. The gene discussed is CASP9; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
