HMGCR and hyperlipidemia: Simvastatin, an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor commonly used as a hypolipidemic drug in clinical treatment, significantly reduced the lipid level of hyperlipidemia zebrafish to 73.79%; conversely, the vehicle DMSO at a final concentration of 0.1% (v/v) had no effect on the lipid level of zebrafish.
