There are a few references to the use of salival Abeta42 in diagnosing AD [13,14], of saliva alpha-synuclein as a biomarker for Parkinson’s disease [15] and progressive supranuclear palsy [16], and quite a few on saliva levels of CRP in heart disease and atherosclerosis I [17,18]. The gene discussed is SNCA; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
