From this initial group of genes displaying a ≥ 2-fold change at d28 pi, several genes involved in chemokine signaling (CX3CR1, CCR5, CCL5), antibody diversification (AICDA, NUGGC), lymphocyte signaling (LAG3), B cell regulation (RasD1), and with connections to oncogenesis and cancer (GPC1, AURKA), were chosen for follow-up qRT-PCR analysis, to confirm observations made by RNA-seq. The gene discussed is CCL5; the disease is cancer.
