KRAS and familial pancreatic carcinoma: Among these four driver genes, Kras is the most frequent mutated gene, and runs through the initiation, progression, and metastasis of pancreatic cancer.19 Scientists had already been aware of the importance of Kras mutation in pancreatic cancer, and inhibition of Kras activity in mice model of pancreatic cancer induced tumor regression.20 However, almost all treatments against Kras failed to improve prognosis in clinical trials.
