LDHA and non-small cell lung carcinoma: In our panel of 26 NSCLC cell lines expressing ALDH class 1 and/or 3 molecules, cells with high ROS levels and concomitant low to moderate GSH levels were significantly more susceptible to DIMATE-induced cell death (average IC50 = 4.05 ± 3.83; P < 0.001) than cells with either low ROS levels or the highest GSH levels in the cohort (average IC50 = 30.40 ± 11.48) (Fig. 5a).
