LOX is a HIF target [69] and in ccRCC, LOX has been shown to be strongly overexpressed compared to normal tissue; it is one of the genes postranscriptionally regulated by miR-141-3p and miR-145-5p; and has prognostic relevance for the overall survival of ccRCC patients [70]. This evidence concerns the gene LOX and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
