Currently, six miRNAs (miR-140-5p, miR-200b/c, miR-296-5p, miR-370, and miR-874-3p) (Table 2) have been found to bind PIN1 mRNA directly and inhibit its expression in cancers (Zhang et al., 2013; Lee et al., 2014; Luo et al., 2014; Leong et al., 2017; Yan et al., 2017; Chen et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene PIN1 and cancer.
