Use of NAMPT inhibitors plus β-lapachone, an agent that targets the NADPH quinone oxidoreductase-1 (NQO1) and generates ROS, resulted in excessive ROS production and had enhanced efficacy against growth of pancreatic adenocarcinoma cells, particularly those which overexpressed NQO1 (52, 115). This evidence concerns the gene NQO1 and pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
