DDX41 and Guillain-Barre syndrome: GD1a, GM1a, GM1b, and GalNAc-GD1a-Abs (IgG isotype) characterize the acute motor axonal neuropathy (AMAN), and GM1 and GD1a-antibodies (IgG isotype) characterize acute motor and sensory axonal neuropathy (AMSAN), but these axonal forms of GBS are more common in Asia and Central and South America than in North America and Europe.
