When studying the migration of CSF derived Th cell subsets across the BCSFB, we observed the trend that CSF derived Th17 and Th1* cells from MS patients crossed the HIBCPP monolayer in higher fractions under both inflammatory and non-inflammatory conditions when compared to Th1 and Th2 cells, though it was not significant because of higher variability depending on the patient (Fig. 3g). Here, CSF2 is linked to myeloid sarcoma.
