The summary analysis incorporating four additional hypothetical studies using the trim-and-fill method continued to reveal a statistically significant association between the ADRB3 rs4994 polymorphism and risk of childhood and adolescent overweight/obesity (OR 1.20, 95% CI 1.03–1.40, Figure 3), suggesting the robustness of the pooled estimates from the dominant model. This evidence concerns the gene ADRB3 and obesity disorder.
