GRHL2 suppresses EMT in a breast cancer cell line by directly repressing the ZEB1 promoter (Cieply et al., 2013, 2012), while key EMT suppressors are directly transactivated by GRHL2, including MIR200B, MIR200A, MIR429 (Chung et al., 2016) and Ovol2 (Aue et al., 2015). This evidence concerns the gene GRHL2 and breast carcinoma.
