In the present case, immunohistochemical analysis demonstrated overexpression of p16 in both components of the tumor (Fig. 3b) and fluorescence in situ hybridization analysis demonstrated an increased copy number of 9p21 (CDKN2A, p16 gene) in both epithelial and sarcomatous components (Fig. 4, Table 2). The gene discussed is CDKN2A; the disease is neoplasm.
