As per the analyses involving UALCAN, a significantly higher promoter methylation level of CMTM5 was observed in breast cancer tissues than in normal tissues (1.17-fold, P < 1e−12) (Figure 9A), which was also confirmed upon using MethHC (P < 0.01) (Figures 9B,C). The gene discussed is CMTM5; the disease is breast carcinoma.
