In the univariate analysis, serum CRP level above 9.17 mg/L was associated with higher depressive symptoms at day 8 (OR: 2.49, 95%CI: 1.45–4.29, P < 0.01) and CRP level above 6.7 mg/dL was associated with higher depressive symptoms 3 months after stroke (OR: 2.81, 95%CI: 0.99–3.31, P = 0.05).
