When studying the association of VGLL3 and the progression of STAD, we analyzed VGLL3 expression levels in STAD samples from the TCGA dataset, and found that high levels of VGLL3 positively correlated with a higher histological grade, T stage, and TNM stage of the tumor, which are indicators of greater tumor malignancy23. This evidence concerns the gene VGLL3 and gastric adenocarcinoma.
