Here, we studied the metabolome of serum and WB obtained from patients with prolactinomas, LH/FSH-secreting and NF pituitary adenomas using 1H NMR spectroscopy with the aim of quantitative identification of metabolite markers that can be of potential value in the development of in vitro diagnostics to differentiate various pituitary tumor subtypes. The gene discussed is PLOD1; the disease is pituitary tumor.
