Among all promoter constructs generated and analyzed, pGL3F1 [1 kb; − 200 bp to + 848 bp, w.r.t. TSS(+ 1) with 3-NFкB (RelA) binding sites (at -90 bp/− 80 bp, + 347 bp/+ 356 bp and + 360 bp/+ 368 bp) showed the highest promoter activity in GBM cells (U87MG/A172/U373MG) reflecting the potentially strongest site for NFкB (RelA) activity.
