The current study summarizes the collective findings from three of the most prevalently explored proinflammatory cytokines in PTSD, which are IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α, all of which are often paired as they are all induced by the same endotoxin, lipopolysaccharides (LPS) [39], along with other inflammatory measures. Here, IL6 is linked to post-traumatic stress disorder.
