TP53 and cancer: Table S4 shows the highest scoring pathways from 10‒21 gene counts. The KEGG pathways were roughly in line with the major GO terms found in the GO analyses confirming the validity of the analytical approach. Most upregulated DEGs related to the cancer relevant “cell cycle” and “p53 signaling pathway”, but the third-highest number of DEGs were enriched in “viral carcinogenesis.” On the other hand, downregulated DEGs were associated with “pathways in cancer”, “cGMP-PKG signaling pathway”, and other signaling pathways, but also “focal adhesion” and “regulation of actin cytoskeleton” (Table S4).
