TGFβ may be produced by tumor cells (Schlingensiepen et al., 2008) (and our unpublished data), by cancer-associated fibroblasts (Nazareth et al., 2007), by dying cells (Chen et al., 2001; Moustakas et al., 2002), and by TAM (Bonde et al., 2012). The gene discussed is TGFB1; the disease is neoplasm.
