We found the oncogenic (tan) module to be significantly enriched in pediatric cancer predisposition genes for 4 out of the 5 tested histotypes (NBL pedCPGs, OR = 9.0 [3.3–21.2]; p < 0.001; ALL pedCPGs, OR = 8.3 [3.9–16.3]; p < 0.001; MBL pedCPGs, OR = 9.9 [2.4–31.3]; p = 1.4 × 10–3; glioma pedCPGs, OR = 9.7 [3.5–23]; p < 0.001) (Fig. 6a). This evidence concerns the gene NUMBL and central nervous system cancer.
