TNNI3 and myocardial infarction: LAD-ligated animals with cTnI levels <2 ng.ml−1 were excluded (3 animals) as the myocardial infarct was found to be ≤20% at termination (Supplementary Fig. 1Correlation between plasma cardiac troponin I (cTnI) at 4 hr post coronary ligation and left ventricular infarct size (% free wall) measured at 90-days), resulting in a total of 11 LAD animals surviving to 90-days included in the main study.
