Ribonucleotide reductase M2 (RRM2) is the regulatory subunit of ribonucleotide reductase and is not only involved in the tumorigenesis and progression of a variety of carcinomas (such as colon, breast, and pancreatic cancer) [41–43] but also leads to resistance to cancer chemotherapy [44]. This evidence concerns the gene RRM2 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
