As sown in Fig 2A–2D, the serum levels of Gal-9 in SLE patients showed a moderate positive correlation with SLE disease activity as measured by the SLEDAI-2K (Fig 2A, p<0.001, r = 0.47 [95%CI; 0.27–0.67]). The gene discussed is LGALS9; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
