It was then determined that WT1 was overexpressed in the majority of acute meloid leukemia (AML) and ALL cases.[22] Additionally, the increase of WT1 expression was concomitant to the progression of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS).[3,23,24] The expression level reflects the activity of leukemia that is independent from chimiric DNA. Here, WT1 is linked to acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
