Advances in the classification of diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) based on genetic aberrations and molecular expression profiles have led to the recognition of a new category of high grade B cell lymphoma, including “high grade B-cell lymphoma with rearrangements of MYC and BCL2 and/or BCL6”, in the 2016 revised 4th edition of World Health Organization (WHO) Classification of Tumors of Haematopoietic and Lymphoid Tissues.1 The gene discussed is BCL6; the disease is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
