History of hypertension and dyslipidemia was higher in patients on insulin glargine plus DPP-4 inhibitors than in other patients included (for hypertension: 77.0% vs. 65.0% in those on insulin glargine only, 75.6% in those on insulin glargine plus other oral glucose-lowering drugs, 73.5% in those on insulin glargine plus rapid-acting insulin; for dyslipidemia: 60.2% vs. 32.8% in those on insulin glargine only, 50.6% in those on insulin glargine plus other oral glucose-lowering drugs, 51.2% in those on insulin glargine plus rapid-acting insulin).
