CD8A and familial pancreatic carcinoma: Interestingly, it has recently been shown that FAK inhibition and immunotherapy can be synergistically effective in pancreatic cancer.45 And in squamous cell carcinoma, it has been discovered that FAK promotes tumor evasion by inducing an immunosuppressive microenvironment, recruiting regulatory T cells and inhibiting cytotoxic CD8+ T cells.46 All this might hold true for glioblastoma, too.
