LUCAT1 and endometrial carcinoma: Among these transcription factors, ELF1 was recognized as a contributor to malignancies17, 18, 19 and it was also reported as a transcription activator of MEIS111 but an inhibitor of erbB2 promoter activity.20 To investigate whether and how ELF1 modulates LUCAT1 expression, we first examined the expression of ELF1 in CM cells, finding that the expression of ELF1 is upregulated significantly, similar to ELF1 overexpression in endometrial carcinoma.21 We also observed that ELF1 acted as a transcriptional activator of LUCAT1 in CM.
