AKT1 and Hypoglycemia: At the molecular level, the high‐fat diet attenuated the overexpression of GLUT1 in muscle and the upregulation of the phospho‐(p‐) AKT/total‐AKT ratio in all three types of tissue (Figure 5b and Figure S4a), suggesting that metabolic changes in muscle and BAT were the direct reason for the hypoglycemia and that the high‐fat diet may raise the blood glucose level by inhibiting glucose uptake in muscle and BAT.
