The mean age (P = .006), percentage of patients smoking (P = .021), the percentage of patients with COPD (P = .004), CRP (P = .001), APACHE II score (P < .001), and SOFA score (P = .038) were increased in ARDS‐sepsis patients compared with non‐ARDS‐sepsis patients. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
