From our transcriptome analysis four genes—presenting the most remarkable expressional suppression upon nanoparticle treatments [Spp1 (Osteopontin), Ptn (Pleiotrophin), Thbs2 (Thrombospondin 2), Adamts5 (ADAM metallopeptidase with thrombospondin type 1 motif 5)]—were selected to evaluate whether a correlation between the altered expression level of these genes and cancer patient survival can be identified. This evidence concerns the gene THBS2 and cancer.
