The results showed that knockdown of LUCAT1 significantly inhibited the growth of CRC cells and induced DNA damage in CRC cells in vitro and in vivo, altered alternative splicing events, while reintroduction of PTBP1 abrogated the effects induced by LUCAT1 knockdown (Fig. 5d-g and Additional file 1: Figure S12A-C).
