Similarly, high SOAT1 gene expression was more frequent in patients with a more advanced disease stage at diagnosis (ENSAT 3 and 4, 62% (13 out of 21) versus ENSAT 1 and 2, 24%, (5 out of 21); p = 0.006), and in carcinomas exhibiting a higher Ki67 index (Ki67 > 10%, 76% (16 out of 21) versus Ki67 ≤ 10%, 29% (6 out of 21); p = 0.005).
