In EBV+ HL, markers of suppression such as IL10 are also augmented, suggesting, on one hand, that the expression of viral proteins in these cells could enable their escape from the virus-specific cytotoxic T-cell response, and, on the other hand, that the signs of immune exhaustion in patients who develop lymphomas could be related to the increased soluble IL10 levels [34,36].
