To investigate the molecular mechanisms by which the lncRNA acts in thyroid carcinogenesis we examined the effects of PAR5 on EZH2 expression and activity since recent studies reported EZH2 overexpression in undifferentiated thyroid carcinomas, and its capability to inhibit thyroid cell differentiation [9]. This evidence concerns the gene EZH2 and thyroid gland undifferentiated (anaplastic) carcinoma.
