Th1 cells stimulate the cell-mediated immune response by interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) production [93], Th2 cells inhibit the Th1 cell-mediated response by IL-4 production [93], Th17 secretes IL-17A, IL-6, and TNF-α that play a role in inflammation response [94] and have been implicated in MM occurrence and progression and its complications [95], and Treg cells produce and secrete TGF-β and IL-10 that inhibit effector T cell growth and exert immunomodulatory actions [94].
