Our results are a novelty in describing the first GBS ligand for TLR2 and TLR4 and could be beneficial in the development of a vaccine adjuvant because TLR4 ligand-based adjuvants are the most advanced in commercial vaccines [33] and because TLR2 adjuvant has attracted great interest as an efficient adjuvant for vaccines against infectious diseases [34]. The gene discussed is TLR2; the disease is infectious disease.
