Previous studies demonstrated that the percentage of Prox1+ cells increases with tumor grade in astrocytic brain tumors and that Prox1 can serve as a prognostic indicator in high‐grade gliomas.20, 21 Nestin is also a marker of glioma and may play an important role in the prediction of the clinicopathology and prognosis of glioma patients.22, 23 Consistently, we found scattered nestin+ cells in the glioma samples. This evidence concerns the gene NES and central nervous system cancer.
