Since the expression levels of both Nur77 and WFDC21P are suppressed in clinical HCC samples and are negatively correlated with the progression of HCC, we propose that this Nur77–WFDC21P–PFKP/PKM2 axis may contain promising intervention targets for HCC therapy, and Csn-B or other Nur77 agnoists [48–50] may represent effective therapeutic compounds.
