In this scenario, our findings extend previous studies showing chromatin interactions of Nup93 (Brown et al, 2008; Ibarra et al, 2016; Labade et al, 2016) and reveal a critical role of this protein in BCC migration and breast tumor growth, hence paving the way for the study of other nucleoporins and NE proteins during tumor initiation, EMT, and metastases. This evidence concerns the gene NUP93 and skin basal cell carcinoma.
