MCP‐1 functions through its receptor CC chemokine receptor 2 (CCR2).10, 11 Monocytes which recruit to tumour microenvironment through the MCP‐1/CCR2 axis are polarized to M2 tumour‐associated macrophages (TAMs), contributing to tumour progression.9 Importantly, the expression of MCP‐1 was related to the number of TAMs and stage of CRC.12 However, how the dysbiosis induced by HFD affects tumour microenvironment and TAMs has not yet elucidated. This evidence concerns the gene CCR2 and neoplasm.
