Previous data from our group and others have indicated that NEK2 is overexpressed in various cancers, including MM (Zhou et al., 2013), cholangiocarcinoma (Kokuryo et al., 2007), testicular seminomas (Barbagallo et al., 2009), human breast cancer (Tsunoda et al., 2009; Wang et al., 2012), cervical cancer (Wang et al., 2012), prostate cancer (Wang et al., 2012), and colorectal cancer (Neal et al., 2014; Suzuki et al., 2010). Here, NEK2 is linked to Miyoshi myopathy.
