CD4 and tuberculosis: The mean percentage of CD4+ T cells that coexpressed IFN-γ and CD38 (CD4+IFN-γ+CD38+ cells) was clearly lower in TB+HCV+-coinfected patients compared with TB+HCV–-mono-infected patients (36.9% ± 9.6 vs. 58.2% ± 7.6; p-value < 0.0001).
