TYROBP and Alzheimer disease: When examining the longer list of priority GWAS genes (see Dataset EV4), we find more members of this pathway, including TREM2, ITGAM, and VAV1. Moreover, the same genes, as well as others of the top 18 list, i.e., PYDC1/PYCARD (Pmar: 4.69e‐04), GRN (Pmar: 1.56e‐04), SLC2A5 (Pmar: 2.07e‐04), and SAMSN1 (Pmar: 4.66e‐04), are all part of the “immune and microglia” module regulated by TYROBP inferred by Zhang et al from RNA‐seq data derived from late‐onset AD patients (Zhang et al, 2013).
