CRP and clostridium difficile infection: Inflammatory markers, such as CRP (37.1 (39.0) vs. 12.2 (29.0), P=0.037) and fibrinogen (4.0 (1.0) vs. 3.2 (1.1), P=0.035, were found to be significantly elevated in UC with CDI compared with inactive UC without CDI patients (Table 2).
