Herein, we demonstrated that an early preventive treatment with CTLA-4-Ig (belatacept) in mice leads to (i) reduction of hepatic fibrosis, (ii) diminished disease progression, (iii) reduced hepatic egg load, and (iv) an impaired immune response characterized by decreased immune cell recruitment and cytokine production. This evidence concerns the gene CTLA4 and Hepatic fibrosis.
