GPT and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: Gender (p = 0.001), follow-up period (p = 0.017), AST change (p = 0.023), ALT change (p < 0.001), and the frequencies of dyslipidemia (p = 0.013), diabetes mellitus (p = 0.034), weight loss (p < 0.001), and quitting smoking (p = 0.013) differed significantly between those who developed NAFLD and those who remained non-NAFLD.
